The
Brick Theater, Inc. presents
Bouffon
taught by Sue Morrison
at

So often, the first thing we lose in our work is the
pleasure of being there. In Le Jeu, we unleash the elements of energy and
momentum and we learn to use our own impulses and pleasure in our work as
creators and performers. It gives us the tactics and energy required to
explore the genre of bouffon.
The bouffon live at the periphery of society, true messengers for our times,
never asking for the love of the audience, only to survive and to flash a
mirror before us. The darker side of our psyche, a true side, is
developed through physical manipulations and grotesque forms.
Through this, the psychology of the outcast is explored.
